Palm Beach International Boat Show 2024: In Review with Moravia Yachting
The 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show attracted some of the world’s leading yachting brands, including shipbuilders, naval architects and designers, crew recruiters, and yacht brokerages, with the 2024 show offering multiple highlights.
The annual boat show has forged a reputation for its superb selection of luxury yachts and higher-quality, qualified traffic, coupled with its relaxed format and enviable location along the heart of Palm Beach, Florida.
The show offered attendees the opportunity to browse the latest yacht sales and charter opportunities, explore cutting-edge technology and water toys, meet with industry leaders, and learn about the latest trends shaping the yachting industry, both in the US and globally.
Of course, as one of the world’s most prestigious yacht shows, it also saw several global debuts from leading shipbuilders.
“Pre-summer is the prime time to buy a yacht. There was a broad spectrum of yachts of different sizes and builders on display, available for both sale and charter,” Alastair Callender at Moravia Yachting said.
The best superyachts at the Palm Beach International Boat Show 2024
As always, the Palm Beach International Boat Show featured a stunning selection of superyachts, both for sale and charter.
The 2024 show boasted more yachts on display than ever before, a “significant milestone” for the show, according to Andrew Doole, President of the U.S. Boats Shows with Informa Market.
Pre-summer is also the prime time for yacht sales and charter enquiries, with yachting enthusiasts looking ahead to the summer yachting season.
“I’ve received more charter enquiries this year than ever before, so the Palm Beach Boat Show is a good time for those wanting choice this summer to contemplate what options are available and book early,” Alastair Callender, Moravia charter and sales broker, explains.
Motor Yacht AMARYLLIS was without question the highlight of the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show and was one of the largest vessels at the show.
This luxury pedigree yacht is listed for sale and is also available for charter with Hill Robinson, part of the Moravia Yachting group.
Built by the esteemed shipyard Abeking and Rasmussen, AMARYLLIS is a masterpiece of design, turning heads with her stunning blue hull and white superstructure designed by Reymond Langton. Built in 2011, she boasts a superb selection of amenities, including a gym, spa with sauna, steam room, plunge pool, an oversized Jacuzzi, and a superb selection of water toys and tenders.
Palm Beach International Boat Show 2024 Global reveals
As one of the world’s leading yacht shows, several luxury shipbuilders took the opportunity to debut their latest yachts.
The Palm Beach Boat Show’s timing, held March 20-23, represents a vital middle ground between the Monaco Yacht Show and the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.
"Clients turn up with their team, but not the same entourage as [they do] in Monaco,” says Sarah Flavell, marketing manager at Damen Yachting. “People are more relaxed, they feel like they can be themselves, they want to come directly to the show and talk it out."
The Italian shipyard Azimut revealed its new 44-metre flagship superyacht to its Grande range. According to Azimut, the four-deck luxury yacht represents a ‘new era’ for the yard. Set for delivery in September 2026, Azimut announced at the show that five vessels have already been sold.
Damen Yachting also utilised the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show to unveil its latest iteration of the Xplorer line, a striking 80-metre expedition concept yacht with exterior design by Azure Yacht Design. This stunning vessel boasts a raft of features, including an open bow, observation lounge, gym and wellness areas, twin tender garages, and a fully equipped dive centre. The yacht will be capable of 40 days of self-autonomy at sea.
Feadship and Winch Design unveiled the renders for Project Fusion at the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show, an ultra-luxurious 88-metre visionary superyacht that prioritises wellbeing through innovative design. Highlights include a double-deck beach house and a fluid, open-plan layout that seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor living.
