Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen shares 'surprise' new addition in sweet announcement

The Yorkshire Farm shepherdess Amanda Owen delighted This Morning viewers as she appeared live from Ravenseat Farm today with her children and a surprise new addition.

Amanda introduced the unexpected woolly arrival with the help of her daughter Clemmie, who cradled the lamb during the broadcast.

She revealed the newborn to the ITV show hosts, saying: “We’ve even got… well, it’s either a very early lamb or a very late one, we’re not quite sure, but he’s here, isn’t he girls?”

Presenter Ben Shepard, who joked he is a shepherd himself, pointed out that the lamb’s birth has come at an unusual time.

He questioned: “I understand this is not the season for lambs? What has gone on there?”

Amanda laughed in response, replying: “You tell me! One of them obviously knows something, but it will have to be one of those things that will forever remain a secret.”

Amanda’s appearance on This Morning comes as the Owen family continues to share their rural adventures with fans through their new show Our Farm Next Door, which premiered on More4 in October 2024.

The series documents Amanda and her former husband Clive’s efforts to restore a derelict farmhouse with the help of their nine children, trusted friends, and extended family.

This marked the first time the former couple decided to appear on telly together after their separation in 2022 which followed 22 years of marriage.

Speaking candidly at the start of their new series, Amanda acknowledged the challenges they faced, saying: “This last year has been incredibly hard in so many respects. But we’ve got through it.”

Clive echoed the sentiment, adding: “Me and Mandy, we’ve had a strange few years.

“We’re now at a place where, although we’re not actually together, we’re still in business together, and we still have kids together. It’s the most sensible thing for everybody to do.”

Fans have warmly welcomed the Owen family’s return to television.
