The One Show's Alex Jones has just dropped a bombshell about an exciting new development for the beloved BBC series set to launch in 2025.

At the start of Monday's show, Alex, alongside her co-host Lauren Laverne, took a moment to share some thrilling news with their audience.

"Of course, we do love hearing from you," Alex began, before teasing, "Now then, news. We have something new for 2025."

The anticipation was palpable as Lauren eagerly gestured towards the screen where a phone number and QR code appeared.

Alex revealed, "You can now send us a message on using our new WhatsApp number," announcing the digits as 0330 123 1 700.

She continued, encouraging viewers to engage: "Or you scan, see that QR code there? Scan that," reminding them to include their names with their messages.

She reassured fans that traditional contact methods remain available, directing them to search for BBCTheOneShow on social media or email at theoneshow@bbc.co.uk, reports Wales Online.

Lauren couldn't hide her excitement, exclaiming, "Love that. No excuse not to talk to us, come on!"
