Ruth Langsford has revealed a massive family change could leave her "dying inside" over the festive season.
The TV presenter faces her first Christmas without her ex-partner, Eamonn Holmes, this year after the celebrity power couple parted ways earlier in 2024 after 14 years of marriage.
Since the break-up, Eamonn has moved forward with new girlfriend Katie Alexander while Ruth has been leaning on the help of friends, including Rylan Clark.
In October, a source told OK! that Ruth is "dreading" the festive season and that she knows the first will be the "hardest", and she "just wants to get through it.”
However, it's not just her break-up that could be weighing on Ruth's mind, as she previously told Woman and Home Magazine about another family change concerning her 22-year-old son Jack.

Ruth wrote: "I see Christmas changing every year. Although Jack’s not yet been at his girlfriend’s for Christmas, I’m sure the time will come. Then I’ll have to take a big gulp and go, ‘That’s lovely, darling. Of course, it’s absolutely no problem.’ But, of course, I’ll be dying inside."
The source claimed that this could still be the case as people enjoy the festivities this year, too, as they said Jack is "at the age" where he may wish to do something else, and it's "worrying" her.
In 2023, she also explained that, although Christmas was previously a time to focus on their children, it was now "about Mum" and she doesn't know "how many more Christmases she might have".
Ruth's mum, Joan, 93, has lived in a care home since her Alzheimer's diagnosis, a condition with which her father, Dennis, also suffered. He sadly passed away in 2012, aged 84, after complications from the condition.

Jack is Ruth's only child, with Eamonn having three other children from his previous marriage to Gabrielle Holmes: Declan, Rebecca, and Niall.
In May, it was revealed that Ruth was heartbroken when her son left home to attend university, with the much-loved star telling Rosie Nixon's In a Good Place podcast that the first week was particularly difficult.
In a touching admission, she said not having her son at home felt like "part of my heart had been ripped out" and she remembered entering his bedroom and crying when she came home.
She previously told Hello! that her son is a creative person and she believes that he will "do well at whatever he chooses to do", although Eamonn has suggested that he would be a "good journalist".
Ruth told the publication: "I think he was reticent about wanting to do journalism because people will end up thinking 'Oh, nepotism' and 'Nepo babies' blah blah. But actually, he's a very creative person."
