Fred Sirieix was not best pleased as he stripped to his undies and did a good deed on his new show with Gino D'Acampo. The Frenchman and Italian were on a mission to help save the planet in their ITV two-part series Gino & Fred: Emission Impossible.

The Naked Travellers were looking to escape the crowds in this evening's episode, which aired on December 17. They travelled up the coast of Croatia in their bid to be conscientious travellers - with Gino pointing out a very "problem", which Fred admitted made him "very angry".

First Dates star Fred stripped until he was wearing nothing but some French flag swimming briefs. He stuffed a rubbish bag above his manhood as he jumped off the boat and swam to shore, leaving his co-star behind.

Arriving on the beach, the 52-year-old maître d'hôtel whipped out his plastic bag as he began a clean up mission. He was astounded as he noticed how much rubbish had been scattered across the otherwise stunning beach.

Fred exclaimed: "Look at that, look at all the polystyrene. Oh my God. It makes me really angry that people are so dirty, so disrespectful."

He continued to shout to his co-star, saying: "Gino, you should see how much rubbish there is here. It makes me so angry. Unbelievable.

"It's over consumption. How are we going to leave the planet for another generation? At the end of the day we are responsible for the generation that's coming after us. You know, it's our responsibility."

Back on the boat, Gino was looking on and laughing at his friend as he enjoyed some tasty food with their tour guide, Marlena. But things quickly turned somewhat sour as she shared some bad news with the chef.

Referring to the rubbish, she asked him: "Do you know where it's coming from? Mostly from Italy." Gino's face dropped as he asked: "Are you serious?

"So you're now blaming Italian people for the rubbish that you've got..." The guide interrupted Gino as she explained: "We have been doing this for seven years and we do have some kinf of results and one of the most countries that pollutes is Italy."

The TV chef quipped back as he asked if he would like her to talk to his Prime Minister before adding more seriously: "Because that's not right. That's not right. We shouldn't send the rubbish here. That's it, problem solved."
