This Morning: Jane McDonald apologises for 'taking over'
Jane McDonald caused quite a stir on Tuesday's episode of This Morning as she unwittingly took the reins during an interview.
The 61-year-old entertainment veteran was on the show with fellow stars Nigel Havers and Marisha Wallace to discuss their upcoming stint at this year's London Palladium pantomime. When Jane heaped praise on her colleague Marisha, she inadvertently diverted the spotlight towards her in front of hosts Josie Gibson and Dermot O'Leary.
Addressing Marisha, Jane enquired: "You've got your own tour coming out as well, haven't you?" As Marisha began sharing details about her tour with viewers, Jane found herself commandeering the conversation, prompting a playful reaction from the This Morning duo.
Josie chimed in with a cheeky "Well done Jane!" While Dermot gestured for Jane to join them, saying: "Come over to this side Jane, come on."
The moment sparked a wave of laughter, leading an embarrassed Jane to heartily apologise, exclaiming: "I'm so sorry! So sorry!"

Marisha then touched upon her upcoming major headline performance at the Adelphi, linking it to the celebration of her new British citizenship - a reveal that had Josie and Dermot clapping in support, reports the Mirror.
Aside from Marisha's updates, Jane spilled the beans about another project with Channel 5 that fans can eagerly anticipate.
She exclaimed: "I'm filming a new Channel 5 series coming up soon! Which is going to be very, very exciting. Much bigger, much better than we've ever done. So that's a new series I'm starting to film it in February."
When probed by Josie for more details, Jane initially played it cool but eventually spilled the beans that she would indeed be hitting the high seas again.

With palpable enthusiasm, she remarked: "I'm very excited!"
Jane also dropped a tantalizing hint about more singing, suggesting Channel 5 audiences should brace themselves for some musical treats as part of the show.
Overjoyed at the prospect, Josie gushed: "I live for that bit! I think it's the best bit ever."
However, Jane wasn't theonly person apologising during Tuesday's show as Josie Gibson found herself saying sorry to radio star Jordan North.
Recently, the ITV star played a prank on Jordan while being interviewed on his Capital Breakfast show, which saw her storming out. When he realised the whole thing was a joke, the radio host confessed he felt "sick" over the thought he'd upset Josie.
Taking a moment to address the joke on This Morning, Josie said: "I just really want to take today to apologise to Jordan North. I think I really shook him up there! So Jordan, I am really sorry. But, go South Jordan North!"
This Morning continues weekdays on ITV from 10am.
