With his court appearance imminent, prison officials were thrown into disarray when Tom was hospitalised after an apparent suicide attempt. This alarming development quickly reached Belle, his alienated spouse, and his relative Jimmy King, acted by Nick Miles, leaving them utterly dumbstruck.
Belle was seen processing the disturbing news with consternation before she and Jimmy recollected that Tom had a history of feigning such drastic acts. It dawned on Belle not long ago that Tom likely orchestrated his prior overdose in a manipulative bid to prevent her from abandoning him.
