An enthusiastic contestant on the latest episode of ITV’s The Chase was seen issuing an apology to host Bradley Walsh on Monday (December 16).
the beloved gameshow host welcomed four new quizzers onto the show looking to put their general knowledge to the test.
As fans tuned in for the primetime show, the former Coronation Street star introduced contestants Lina, Jules, Ben and Mev onto the programme where they battled it out to take home the all-important cash prize.
This week, the quartet faced Sean ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Wallace, who made sure to bring his A-game as he faced off against the wise players.
But when teaching assistant Lina took on her cash builder round against the clock, she was eager to land her answer before the buzzer and wound up shouting her answer at the surprised host.
She was then heard saying “sorry I shouted at you,” and Brad reassured the keen player all was forgiven.

The player took on Shaun in her head-to-head round against the chaser and immediately caught viewers’ attention after going for the high offer of £62k. It was made even more exciting as it followed previous player Jules also taking the high offer of £50k and safely making it back to the team.
Unfortunately, Lina missed out on the money by one question, but fans were thrilled at the high-stakes action, with one dubbing it one of the best episodes of the show in a long time.
“Amazing best episode for a long time lina so unlucky feel for you,” said oen fan on x. “This is what it’s all about,” added another, while a third chimed in: “Two High offers! This is turning out to be the best episode of The Chase in months!”

Despite the three remaining players taking on Shaun in the final chase, they only manage to score 18 correct answers. Shaun was on top form and dominated the team, catching them with a shopping 27 seconds remaining on the clock.
He was seen celebrating doing air punches – something fans thought was and over the top reaction.
