A Place in The Sun: Buyers receive news on dream house
A Place in the Sun's Craig Rowe was forced to apologise to a hopeful house-hunter after delivering some unfortunate news about her dream property.
In today's episode of the popular Channel 4 show, Craig was tasked with helping Kirsty, a primary school head from Northern Ireland, find her ideal holiday home in Lanzarote.
Kirsty enlisted the help of her friend Wendy for the search and with a budget of £120,000, it proved to be "a bit of a challenge" for Craig.
Craig had lined up several properties for viewing, but it was a one-bedroom apartment in Puerto del Carmen that truly captured Kirsty's heart.
The property was conveniently located within walking distance of the old town and Playa Chica beach and also fell within her budget, being priced at £120,168, reports the Mirror.

However, things took a turn for the worse when Craig revealed that the property had been sold overnight. Breaking the disappointing news, Craig said: "It's news that I'm not at all happy to be giving you, to be honest. The final property that we saw, the newly-refurbished apartment, sold overnight.
"They had an offer accepted at the asking price, the deposit has been paid." Apologising, Craig continued: "Now, even though we knew the property market was boiling, I was really hopeful we would at least have overnight, but that's not the situation."
"So I'm sorry to give you that news. How does that make you feel? What are you thinking?"
A visibly disappointed Kirsty didn't need to say anything, as Craig added: "I can kind of tell by your expression."

Despite the initial setback, she didn't let it deter her from finding her dream home. She also expressed interest in the third property on the list. The one-bedroom flat in Las Palmas, priced at £123,950, was a mere 20-minute stroll from Puerto del Carmen's old town.
Kirsty decided to gamble with an offer of £121,500, including furnishings, but sadly, this was turned down. The seller countered with just over £123,000, which Kirsty also refused.
After making a final bid of £122,000, the seller responded with £122,500, which Kirsty happily agreed to.
A Place in the Sun airs weekdays from 3pm on Channel 4.
