I'm A Celeb: Jane Moore shares insight into camp chores

Jane Moore had a thing or two to say on her in-camp feud with McFly bandmate Danny Jones, as she reunited with her Loose Women co-stars for the first time since her jungle stint.

The 62-year-old became the first person to appear on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! on Friday last week, with voters largely deciding to axe her after she furiously butted-heads with Danny and boxing legend Barry McGuigan.

In the jungle, Jane had been left reeling after it was announced that she had been assigned to washing up duty again after new camp leaders Danny and Barry had nominated her for the task.

According to the ITV panellist, she had asked Danny to specifically not put her down for washing up before he made any decisions, a conversation that seemed to slip his mind.

Barry and Danny spent long and hard deliberating on which task best suited each individual trying to formalise a fair and rational plan and ensuring that the females in the camp didn't have any hard labouring tasks to carry out.

After it was announced that she and Tulisa were down to be the pot washers for the week, she lost her temper, proclaiming their choice to be "sexist" and "ageist" - with her being a woman over 60.

Her outburst caused widespread debate, with Danny and Barry later seemingly being backed-up by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, who believed they had assigned jobs with good intentions and Jane possibly taking it out of context.

Now, Jane was back on screens to tell her side of the story and she wasn't shying away from getting her point across either as she continued to stand by her actions in camp.

She explained to her fellow TV stars Christine Lampard, Judi Love, Brenda Edwards and Linda Robson: "You may have saw me starting the fire and when you collect the logs, it's not just collecting the logs, you have to go down 100 steps right down to the bottom of the creek, collect the logs bring them all the way back up the 100 steps and keep the fire going."

Jane continued: "I was emptying the dunny, I was taking out the rubbish, you always have a camp workmate but my camp workmate was Dean.

"Now Dean, poor love, was persistently on trials so he was always out of the camp so I was doing it all on my own so in the first week I was quite physically strong and I was doing it on my energy reserves but by the end of week one, I was completely exhausted, physically and mentally exhausted."

Addressing her clash with camp leaders, she explained how things came to blows, telling her co-stars: "I then said to Danny 'can you not give me the washing up' because you have to go up and down those 100 steps with all the pots and bring back water and that is probably the most physically exhausting job."

Following Jane's exit from camp, she made a comment to her co-stars that "hard work does not get rewarded" which was not received well by fans, who did not know her side of the story.

One person penned:"'People don't notice hard work'...we notice t*** though. Bye Jane! #ImaCeleb #imacelebrity2024 #ImACelebity," while another echoed the sentiment, posting: "'People don't notice hard work' ngl I'm not voting for people to stay for doing chores, Jane #ImaCeleb."

An additional viewer joined in with an exasperated GIF and the caption: "The rest of the campmates hearing Jane still complaining on her way out #ImACeleb."

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV1, from 12:30pm.
