The Chase sparked outrage once again as furious viewers called for members of the show to be axed.

Bradley Walsh returned with a new episode of the ITV quiz show, welcoming four new contestants to take on Shaun Wallace.

Thursday's instalment (November 28) saw 37-year-old Frank put his knowledge to the test first. The project manager revealed he recently welcomed twins and was hoping to use money from the show to put a deposit down on a new house.

Frank showcased his impressive knowledge, answering six questions correctly in the cash builder. Shaun then tempted Frank with a low offer of £2,000 and a high offer of £37,000.

Turning to his teammates, all three urged him to stick with what he'd already got. However, Frank stunned both Bradley and Shuan when he revealed he would be taking the low offer.

"Bit surprised there," Shaun confessed as Bradley agreed.

Unfortunately for Frank, it didn't matter what offer he chose as he was caught by the Dark Destroyer.

Up next was Maya, who also earned £6,000 in her cash builder. The 25-year-old stuck with this and became the first player through to the final.

Lee was hoping to follow in Maya's footsteps and answered four questions correctly in the cash builder. Not tempted by the high offer of £55,000, he went for £1,000 instead.

Sadly, the 50-year-old was no match for Shaun and was caught before he could make it home.

This left Suzy, who also chose the low offer of £1,000 in the hopes of joining Maya in the final chase, which she did.

Viewers were outraged by the constant acceptance of low offers as they flocked to social media to complain.

One fumed: "Omg omg omg  #Thechase Fire the producers," as a second wrote: "FFS you go on quiz shows to try and win a possible life changing amount of money. Going low isn't even worth turning up for."

Another agreed: "Ffs - this show is getting pathetic…"

A fourth disappointed viewer shared: "I used to enjoy watching #thechase, but sadly it's being ruined by folk constantly taking low offers. For the sake of my sanity, I'm switching to #pointless. The Chase is dead."

Echoing this, someone else posted: "Time to rest the chase for a while,it’s become very boring now with the contestants going low far too often recently."

Suzy and Maya answered 14 questions correctly in the final chase. Despite executing a number of pushbacks, Shaun caught the duo with just four second remaining.
