BBC Breakfast hots introduce segment on 'calendar boys'
BBC Breakfast took a rather unexpected turn during the latest episode leaving Sally Nugent red-faced as she admitted, "I don't know what to say".
Sally and Jon Kay were back for another instalment of the popular news programme on Tuesday (November 19), covering the latest news headlines across the UK and the rest of the world.
But one segment in particular left the presenters gobsmacked. Discussing news of the Denton Calendar Boys, the pair tried their best to share news about a group of men who stripped off to raise money for charity.
Like the famous Calendar Girls, who raised millions for blood cancer research, the Denton Boys are taking a similar approach. However, when introducing the segment, the presenters were speechless.
As Jon continued to giggle, Sally turned to weather reporter Carol Kirkwood and said: "Carol, have you seen this. I don't really know what to say."

As Carol expressed her shock, Jon stepped in to explain the concept to viewers at home.
While looking at an image of one of the nude men from the calendar, he said: "You've heard of Calendar Girls, well this morning we can tell you about the Calendar Boys and that's one of them."
Sally replied: "Yes, this has nothing to do with our farming story which is also the lead this morning. A group of men from Norfolk have bared all in hopes of raising money for their local hospitals and our brave reporter Robbie West has been to meet the Denton Dream Boys."
But viewers at home gave a mixed reaction to the segment as some thought it was probably way too early to be discussing nude men.
One viewer said: "I'm all for a story about a naked calendar but before 7am?"

But another fan thought that there should of been more maturity from the hosts and wrote: "Watching #BBCBreakfast covering the Denton Calendar Boys with immature comments, embarrassment and shame is so much different to when they covered the Calendar Girls.
"If you change the gender and your reaction is different, then you have a problem."
Sharing why he decided to get involved in the saucy calendar, Phillip Luton, who is Mr November said: "I trusted Mark the photographer that he would get me in a good pose."
Asked whether he was worried stripping off, he revealed: "I didn't really worry, I haven't got a lot to show anyway, to be honest."
