Chloe Madeley and James Haskell’s reality show, A Family Affair, has been cancelled by ITV following the couple’s highly publicised split. Despite a positive reception to its first season, the network has decided not to commission a second series.
The decision comes as both Chloe, 36, and James, 38, focus on their individual careers while co-parenting their two-year-old daughter, Bodhi. According to an insider, logistics and their busy schedules were a key factor.
The source revealed to The Sun: “They discussed more filming. But Chloe is really busy with her personal training business. James is busy DJing, so, logistically it would prove difficult.”
The insider added: “They’ve remained amicable, so they’re just navigating moving forward peacefully. Throwing cameras into the mix to try to capture drama didn’t seem the most obvious option. Chloe loves her fitness career. She isn’t that focused on telly right now.
Chloe and James, who tied the knot in 2018, announced their split earlier this year, with Chloe later describing the breakup as “awful".

In an interview, she said: “I'm never going to go into great detail about why we broke up because it's not fair on anyone and I wouldn't want him to either, but what I will say is it was fg awful.
"Part of the reason we wanted to end it was because we wanted it to stop being awful, so why would we then take that into a break up and it continue being awful?!”
The couple continued to share a home for several months after the breakup, but James has since moved out, as Chloe confirmed earlier this year. She has since focused on growing her fitness coaching business and is reportedly in a positive place.
A source told OK! magazine: “It's clear to see she's in a really positive place. Her coaching business is really successful and in this time she's healed and grown so much. She realised she put up with a lot during her marriage and now that it's firmly in the past, this is her time to put herself first and be happy.”
The insider added: “She knows the split was the right thing for them both and she's finally getting to do what she's always wanted to do, which she had put on hold when James was abroad and touring as a DJ.”
James, meanwhile, continues his global DJ tour, with his busy schedule reportedly causing tension in their marriage. The former rugby player faced scrutiny before their split, especially after a controversial incident during one of his trips to Ibiza, which was highlighted on their reality show.
Chloe recalled: “One of our biggest arguments – which was also aired on our reality show – occurred when James was in Ibiza and posted photos of other girls' a**s. I felt disrespected because even though I knew that was his job, I didn't want it on social media when everyone knows I'm your wife.”
