Vincent Simone has weighed in on Oti Mabuse in the jungle, revealing his main concern for her I’m A Celeb appearance. The former Strictly star, 54, who finished third in the 2013 series, discussed the challenges of competing in such an intense environment.
Simone also went on to open up about how her background as a dancer could both help and challenge her during her time on the show.
Speaking to 10bet, he said: “I realised in the jungle that some people just couldn’t deal with it. I think if you come from the background of Oti, you have that discipline, you have that experience of performing.
“A lot of dancers, we’re like athletes, and the lack of food can be an issue. Dancers need to eat!"
Adding: “That would be my one concern for Oti, but I also think she has an advantage because she has that discipline and understands that you’re playing a version of yourself in the jungle – you show yourself, but you also know that it’s a performance.

“Oti should be amazing because she's a performer. I hope she does really well. It would be amazing if she could become the queen of the jungle."
The dancer also shared his advice to the current campmates, stressing how important it is to eat whatever food you’re given, no matter how unappealing it might be.
“Well, first of all, no matter whatever food you get given, whether it's rice or beans, make sure you eat it because that is what all the producers and the medics say before you go in. You have to eat even if you don’t like the food.
“You know, sometimes, when we didn't win enough stars in the trial, you’re eating beans and rice, especially in the morning, it was so hard, but you have to just chuck it down.
“I was saying to myself, there were a couple of times where I just couldn’t bear it anymore. That type of food is depressing, it literally drags you down," he added.
Vincent went on to advise the importance of staying active, chatting with campmates, and embracing the experience fully. He also suggests treating challenges like a performance to stay motivated.
He said: "People like Oti, will find that part of the theatre of the show a lot easier to deal with than some of the others who aren’t celebrities from the world of showbiz or celebrities that are used to performing in front of an audience.
"You know there's a crowd, there's an audience watching you. Millions of people. Just get the job done as much as you can.”
