Everybody in Britain knows that the countdown to Christmas is officially on when they hear the iconic 'Holidays are Coming' jingle from Coca-Cola. The brands festive truck brings joy to the nation as it drives through snowy landscapes.
Since first appearing on screens back in 1995, it seems that Coca-Cola have now made a "unforgivable" change to their legendary adverts. During an ad break for ITV's launch of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here this evening, fans were up in arms as a brand new version of the Coca-Cola advertisement was shown.
Rather than the usual slogan of 'Holidays are Coming', the alternative of 'Anyone can be Santa' was used. It showed a number of Father Christmas' going about their daily errands, from doing their laundry, hailing a taxi and carrying wrapped up presents through a snowy city scene.
One wiped away tears, while others helped each other in the gym, before another Santa used a vending machine to bag himself a bottle of his favourite drink. He shared the bottle of Coke with a Father Christmas friend as the words: "The world needs more Santas" flashed up on screen.
Fans on social media were distraught at the changes and shared their outrage at the major changes. They couldn't help but share their distaste.
