Richard Madeley explains how he lost his wedding ring
Richard Madeley has made a surprising revelation about his wedding ring, admitting he doesn't wear the original band he exchanged with Judy Finnigan.
While discussing upcoming guests on Lorraine Kelly's show, the conversation turned to personal anecdotes as Richard shared: "I lost my wedding ring because of Maureen Lipman. We were watching her one woman show in Manchester many years ago and I had a lost a lot of weight because I had been ill.
"And at the end, we gave her a standing ovation and I clapped and my ring flew off, disappeared under the stage and once she was gone, I couldn't find it. I had to get a replacement, this isn't the original. All her fault! ".
The long-standing couple, Richard and Judy, have been together for nearly four decades, and Judy has been candid about their marriage's ups and downs.

In an interview with Woman's Own magazine last year, Judy reflected: "We've been married 37 years and marriage is hard, there is no doubt about it. We might sometimes be absolutely furious with each other and not speaking.
"But in the end that kind of thing doesn't matter, especially as you get older. We have so many similar interests, and have always respected each other's opinions, which is why we managed to work so well together."
On a different occasion, during a podcast, Richard acknowledged that when they argue, it's not something they can easily conceal.
"If you've had a row, you can't hide it. I do remember this, when Judy and I were presenting together, you know, every day, a bit like on the podcast if you've had a row, you can't hide it," he said.
"So we'd be sitting there, we'd had a massive row in the car on the way to Liverpool to do the show and not talking basically, then you do the show. Within 30 seconds of going on air, people would be ringing our phone saying, 'They've had a row, haven't they! ' and people can tell when you're not getting on."
*Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1 and ITVX.
