GMB air Channel Islands news and weather instead of London's

Good Morning Britain fans were all left echoing the same sentiment just minutes into the latest ITV breakfast show.

Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins resumed their presenting roles on Friday (November 8), waking up the nation with the most significant news headlines from around the world.

As per usual, the programme transitioned to local news stations during the broadcast. However, it seems that London viewers didn't receive the correct segment and were instead informed about events in the Channel Islands.

The "gaffe" didn't escape the notice of sharp-eyed viewers, with some quickly taking to X, previously known as Twitter, to query the error. One individual posted: "#gmb why is London getting Meridian news."

Another chimed in:"#Gmb What's happened to Good Morning Britain local London news? " A third queried: "Why are we getting the wrong area news?", reports the Mirror.

This incident follows a recent awkward moment on GMB when Susanna Reid and Ed Ball had a tense exchange with Home Alone actor Rob Schneider. He was on the ITV show to back Donald Trump following his election as the next President of the United States.

Susanna and Ed hosted a special edition of GMB in Washington D. C. as Trump faced off against Kamala Harris in the US election. However, things took an unexpected turn when Hollywood actor Rob began his interview by alleging that Susanna and Ed had been discussing "misogyny off-camera". They promptly dismissed his claim.

Susanna stated: "Neither of us have uttered those words" and Ed attempted to steer the conversation by asking Rob: "Tell us about Donald Trump becoming the President of the United States?"

When Rob didn't respond, Ed continued: "Are you sure you've been watching out programme? I feel like we're on Saturday Night Live here Rob, are we in Home Alone 4? I feel like this interview has taken a bit of a turn."

Later in the show, Susanna had to intervene when a guest used inappropriate language live on air. After he said "p***ed off" twice, Susanna noted: "I'm not sure we can say that" before quickly moving on to discuss the US election.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am
