Patrick Christys introduces his GB News show in 2023
GB News presenter Patrick Christys sent tongues wagging as he teased an interview with a major Hollywood star.
On Wednesday (November 6), Donald Trump won the 2024 presidential election against Kamala Harris with an impressive 295 votes to her 226.
Good Morning Britain went all out for the historic election, and flew Susanna Reid and Ed Balls over to the US to covered the election live from Washington DC.
As the results came in live, the presenting duo welcomed actor Rob Schneider onto the show to share his thoughts on Trump’s win.
It’s fair to say the interview was a “car crash” and caused uproar from viewers online, but the backlash wasn’t enough to keep the comic from speaking out about Trump’s success.
Hours after the politician delivered his victory speech, the presenter Patrick welcomed the comic onto the evening show. Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – the journalist teased his upcoming interview online.
He wrote: “[alarm emoji] He had a HUGE row with Ed Balls and Susanna Reid this morning... and Hollywood legend @RobSchneider is sticking to them again tonight on my @GBNEWS show. Just recorded the interview – he also dishes it out to Starmer, Lammy and Co. See you at 9pm.”
Many fans shared their support and excitement ahead of the evening show, but others couldn’t help but question why the presenter decided to pre-record the interview.
One user asked: “Why pre recorded?” as another echoed: “Why is it pre-recorded?” Meanwhile, one user suggested: “The interview was prerecorded due to time difference.”
However, some viewers were disappointed to see the Hollywood star’s views aired once again. A fourth argued: “If it was said on the program, the record, ok, but I don’t think people in the public eyes, whether politician, celebrity or presenter, should broadcast what others said as ‘off the record’. He can’t even prove it.”

It comes after the Home Alone 2 star launched into a fierce attack on Susanna Reid and Ed Balls during the US election. The actor began the discussion by accusing the pair of "racism and misogyny", which Ed Balls immediately shut down.
The former MP explained: " No, no. I said black and Hispanic voters have moved to Trump from Biden/ Harris and that is why he is winning. He is winning the popular vote, the economy has turned for him."
But the comic wasn't willing to back down. He fumed: " You were also throwing out that it’s racist misogyny, you were saying that he was also using racism and misogyny, I also heard that. I heard you say that, I did hear you say that."
Susanna Reid argued: "Sorry, neither of us have uttered those words" as Ed chuckled: "We'd love for you to speak about something surrounding the President of the United States." Rob went on to put his money where his mouth is and bet the pair "£10,000" that he was right before moving on with his discussion.
