Strictly Come Dancing fans were quick to complain minutes into Saturday night's episode as they spotted a trend.
The latest instalment of the BBC One show, which for the first time ever is themed around icons, saw the 10 remaining celebrity contestants and their pro partners dance to tracks from music legends.
Adding to the iconic tribute, Sunday's results show will feature the professional dancers performing a Beyonce medley, with Johannes Radebe embodying the star's Sasha Fierce persona.
In line with the special week, judges Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, and Motsi Mabuse all donned costumes to pay homage to their icons.
However, fans were swift in airing their views, particularly as the previous week had already seen the panel and stars dress up for Halloween. On Twitter, now X, one viewer expressed: "Oh can we just not with the themed weeks #Strictly", another tweeted: "We don't need fancy dress EVERY week, #strictly" and a third shared: "I agree, it's getting ridiculous now", reports the Mirror.
The show kicked off with Pete Wicks embodying Freddie Mercury, paired with Jowita Przysta, in a lively Salsa routine to Another One Bites The Dust. Elsewhere, Wynne Evans and Katya Jones honoured Shirley Bassey with a sultry Rumba to This is My Life and Sam Quek and Nikita Kuzmin celebrated Taylor Swift with an American Smooth to Love Story.
This week's performances were marked by a notable change, as professional dancer Lauren Oakley stepped in to partner with JLS star JB Gill, 37, after his original partner Amy Dowden, 34, fell ill during filming last weekend.
Amy is said to be "doing much better" after a health scare forced her to miss Sunday's results programme after being taken to hospital and she has skipped this week of the competition.
On Monday, a Strictly spokesperson said: "Amy Dowden MBE is doing much better and the Strictly family send her love and wish her well.
"She is delighted that fellow professional dancer Lauren Oakley is able to step in for rehearsals and to perform in Saturday's show for JB Gill's couple's choice dance. We are all hopeful that Amy will be back to dance with JB next week."
This year the dancer returned to competing on the show after undergoing treatment for stage three breast cancer, including having a mastectomy and chemotherapy. In February, Amy revealed that tests showed she has "no evidence of disease".
Strictly Come Dancing continues this Saturday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
