Strictly: Shayne Ward on 'curse' of dancing first
Strictly Come Dancing contestants who are at risk of being eliminated from the show this weekend have been named just hours before the live BBC performance.
Actor Shayne Ward, 40, is the first star likely to face the chop, closely followed by Olympian Sam Quek, Wynne Evans, and JLS star JB Gill. According to Ladbrokes, Shayne has odds of 6/4, Wynne has odds of 7/2, Sam Quek has odds of 4/1, and JB Gill has odds of 5/1.
However, Chris McCausland appears to be safe with odds of 150/1 to be eliminated from the show, as reported by the Mirror. Alex Apati of Ladbrokes stated: "Shayne Ward leads the way in the elimination betting after a shaky couple of performances, but four names are in huge danger of a shock exit this weekend, with Wynne, Sam and JB also being at risk."
JB will be dancing with Lauren Oakley this week after his professional partner, Amy Dowden, was forced to take time off following her collapse backstage last weekend, which she attributed to the show's "tough" training schedule and the high standard of celebrities this year.
Ahead of the weekend's dazzling performances, dancer Amy Dowden extended her unconditional support to JB and Lauren, sharing: "Wishing these two the absolute best of luck tonight! I'm going to be your biggest cheerleader! "
