Four in a Bed returned this Monday (October 28), with four new couples ready to fight for the title of top bed and breakfast.

The hit Channel 4 show sees B&B go head to head as they spend the night in each other's properties and receive scores and payments based on what each team believes the room to be worth.

Opening the show was Lee and Emma as they showcased showcasing their delightful business, Laurel Bank Hotel, in the heart of Fife.

The competition got fierce when Ashley and Winnie disclosed their chalets were charging a staggering £300 per night. This revelation sent shockwaves through viewers, prompting an immediate response on social media platforms, reports the Mirror.

Fans did not hold back, with one exclaiming on Twitter: "£300 for a pod a night? Extortion" as another complained about the perceived lack of value, adding: "Them ones doing the pod for £300 not even supplying cheapie breaky hamper."

Disbelief was a common sentiment as spectators struggled to grasp the hefty price tag, questioning: "How much? Did they say £300 a night? ". Confusion permeated the online discourse, with fans echoing each other: "£300 a night - did I hear right? ".

At the end of the week, it was time for the hosts to meet up once more so they could finally find out what they'd been paid and settle some scores.

Amidst the uproar, Lee and Emma managed to leave a lasting impression on their guests with their surprisingly spacious and immaculate hotel rooms

Guests at the event were utterly charmed by the sumptuous fare, lavishing praise on the organisers for their culinary prowess.

And it's fair to say Lee and Emma didnt disappoint, showcasing a taste of Fife's elegance as they hosted a tour of a sumptuous Edwardian mansion, complete with a pristine golf course.

Viewers were just as enamoured, with one fan expressing approval from their sofa, saying: "Overall I think this was a good value hotel, not a bad start."

Similarly, another viewer voiced their approval, adding: "Place was nice and clean, brekkie was good. Early contender."

It comes after one Four in a Bed contestant was forced to hold back tears during a recent episode after receiving an unexpected payment - despite "harsh" comments.

Four in a Bed airs on weekdays from 5.20pm on Channel 4 or catch up on Channel4.com.
