Channel 5's All Creatures Great and Small fans have sent a stern message to the scriptwriters following the latest episode, which hinted at a potential new romantic interest for Siegfried Farnon, portrayed by Samuel West.
In Thursday's instalment of the beloved series, fans were taken aback as they spotted signs that Siegfried might be smitten with someone new. During a veterinary visit, Siegfried and his colleague Richard Carmody (played by James Anthony Rose) called on Miss Grantley (Juliet Aubrey) to assist with her lambing issues.
However, the chemistry between Siegfried and Miss Grantley caught the audience's attention, sparking concern among viewers who preferred Siegfried's growing relationship with Mrs Hall (Anna Madeley).
Flocking to social media in large numbers, the show's followers didn't hold back their opinions. One viewer exclaimed: "'No you don't,' I GASPED.'"
Another commented on the male characters' wandering eyes, stating, "Male hearts are being stirred all over the place. Carmody and Siegfried have both had their heads turned. And yet another chimed in, cautioning the writers: "But keep your eye on the ball writers: Siegfried and Audrey are the pair."
While Carmody suggested that Siegfried might have feelings for Miss Grantley, and some viewers shared concerns over a potential romance, others reassured that their relationship won't progress further.

One viewer provided comfort by noting: "Just in case anyone doesn't know because I've seen a lot of people worrying recently, Miss Grantley is NOT in episode 6 and all the info about it suggests things between her and Siegfried end badly, this only lasts an episode."
Another chimed in saying, "I only saw one spark tonight, and that wasn't necessarily connected to Miss Grantley. Siegfried forgot about her and her book as soon as his family was about to celebrate."
Despite hints of a growing connection between Audrey and Siegfried on All Creatures Great and Small, thus far there's been no romantic development.
