Liam Payne's death happened within a "seven-minute window". The One Direction star died aged 31 yesterday as he fell from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires.
Reports have stated that hotel staff rang emergency services in a frantic call, and when they arrived just seven minutes later they discovered the singer's lifeless body.
Sharing all of the confirmed details of Liam's death, James Grainger, an editor at Buenos Aires Times, told ITV's Good Morning Britain: "It's not clear if the fall was accidental or intentional but the report, the 911 call, went in at 5.04pm the police said.
"It was reports of an aggressive man, who was said to be under the influence. Emergency services arrived seven minutes later and within that time Liam had fallen from the balcony and sadly died."
GMB presenter Richard Madeley asked if the call to police was made while Liam was still alive. The show guest replied: "Yes, we believe so."
He continued: "In that seven-minute window it's potentially when everything happened. That's what the police think at the moment."
It has been reported that the singer is believed to have had "little chance of survival" after suffering what medical experts believe is a "fracture of the base of the skull".
A hotel worker called the police after Liam Payne was "acting erratically" prior to his death, reports claim.
Local police were contacted by a worker at the hotel who reported "an aggressive man who may have been under the effects of drugs and alcohol".
Local media stated Liam had been "acting erratically" and was "carried back to his room".

According to audio obtained from the Buenos Aires security ministry, the worker said: "When he is conscious he is destroying the entire room and we need you to send someone."
A post mortem is soon expected to be carried out, as his body has now been transported to a local morgue. Meanwhile, police are said to be continuing their investigations.
Liam shot to fame in 2010 when Simon Cowell "spotted the potential" in him and his former One Direction bandmates Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson as he made the decision to turn them into a group.
