ETTC: House hunters tell Jules to 'up his game'
Escape to the Country's Jules Hudson found himself in a spot of bother when Steve, an eager house-hunter, fired off a bold vision for his potential new Devonshire home during Tuesday's episode.
The BBC series had thrown the spotlight on Steve and Sarah, a couple equipped with a hefty £1million budget who sought Hudson's expertise to locate a property for them.
They wanted a place that featured 3-4 bedrooms and suitable for establishing a holiday let, all within an hour of Bude, reports Wales Online.
Upon introducing them to one enticing property in Cranford, both were immediately blown away, especially when Jules revealed it boasted a spectacular four-acre land parcel, complete with its own breathtaking lake.
Steve sank into a contemplative silence, clearly envisioning the renovation possibilities, enthusiastically suggesting, "I'm thinking we build a real art-deco style bridge taking us out to there and we take that centre mound and you make that the centrepiece holiday let."

To which an impressed Jules responded with awe: "He's all over this! We've only just arrived!"
Amidst light-hearted suggestions by the affable BBC presenter that they'd already found their ideal home, the property tour proceeded to capture the hearts of the pair further.
As the visit concluded, with Sarah confessing her readiness to start anew there, Jules playfully wondered if any additional property viewings were even necessary, exclaiming:"What a start! Do we need to see anymore?"
Steve conceded that the first property they viewed set a high bar, admitting: "You're going to have to really up your game on the next one mate, mix it up a bit."
Jules responded with a hint of concern: "You've got me worried now! But I am happy we've got this one clearly on the table."
As the episode drew to a close, Steve and Sarah were poised to disclose their decision after showing interest in another property.
Explaining their predicament, he told Jules: "I have a very clear favourite, she (Sarah) has a very clear favourite and so we're stuck right down the middle between the two.
"From a business perspective, realistically, number one is the right way. We wouldn't want to share the mystery house with anyone else, people can go and holiday somewhere else."
Although no offer was made during the show, they explained to Jules they wanted to take another look at both properties before making a decision.
In the end, it was revealed to viewers that they made an offer on the first property, which was subsequently accepted.
Escape to the Country is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
