Frank Dillane has charmed viewers by playing the charismatic criminal Boisie in ITV drama Joan.
The 33 year old actor, known for his role as Tom Riddle in the Harry Potter series, has won new fans thanks to his portrayal of the antiques expert and thief.
In the six-part drama, Boisie forms a bond with jewel thief Joan Hannington as they embark on a string of high-stakes heists in the 1980s.
The show has been hit with controversy after some said that the programme glamorises crime. Reflecting on the controversy, Frank said: "I think when you don't have much and you have certain cards that you're dealt. She lifted diamonds off people that had a lot of money. I think we can forgive her for that, personally that's where I stand.
"I guess, in this show, a mother's love can transcend morality. I think that's also what we tap into."
