As the nights grow longer and the festive season draws near, one thing is certain - I'm A Celebrity is on its way. With the countdown to the new series underway, a host of stars are rumoured to be heading to the jungle, including an ex-X Factor judge, a football icon turned TV pundit, and most recently, a high-profile WAG who's been making headlines in court.

Like it or not, Christmas is rapidly approaching, and with Strictly already gracing our screens, it won't be long before Ant and Dec return Down Under, introducing a fresh batch of celebrities trading the glitz and glamour of the red carpet for the rustic charm of the jungle. The popular ITV show first aired in 2022, crowning radio legend Tony Blackburn as its inaugural winner, with subsequent champions including Matt Willis, Kerry Katona, Georgia Toffolo, Scarlett Moffatt, and Vicky Pattison.

Following I'm A Celebrity's triumph in the Best Entertainment category at this year's National Television Awards, speculation is rife about potential campmates for 2024. Here's a rundown of the latest I'm A Celebrity 2024 line-up rumours, as reported by Chronicle Live.

Coleen Rooney

In a sensational twist, Coleen Rooney, the wife of former England football ace Wayne Rooney and the woman who sent shockwaves through social media in 2019 with her infamous 'It's Rebekah Vardy's account' revelation, is reportedly on the verge of securing a lucrative deal to enter the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.

An insider said: "I'm A Celeb bosses have pulled off a huge coup getting Coleen for the jungle this year and the team are thrilled to have her on board."

The source continued: "Coleen has a huge fanbase and she won massive plaudits for her classy handling of the Wagatha Christie case. She's excited to show fans a different side to her and prove she can survive without her creature comforts."

Ally McCoist

Joining the swirl of speculation around I'm A Celeb contestants is Ally McCoist, the former Rangers and Scotland striker turned beloved ITV commentator. He's now being hotly tipped to join presenters Ant and Dec for a stint in the jungle.

After reportedly backing out of discussions with the show's producers two years prior, it's believed that McCoist might finally be ready to take the plunge. A source remarked: "Ally has such a huge fan base thanks to his years of commentating and punditry, plus his long stint on A Question of Sport. He'd be great for the jungle - as his wife and kids have been telling him forever - so everyone is really hopeful that this will be the year."

Tulisa Contostavlos

Tulisa, the N-Dubz fame who shot to greater acclaim upon joining The X Factor team in 2011 and guiding Little Mix to their first win, all while scoring a chart-topping solo hit with 'Young', has kept under the radar lately. But she could be on the verge of making a sensational TV return, according to an insider: "Tulisa's diverse career makes her a strong contender for I'm A Celebrity because she appeals to a wide audience."

The informant revealed more about the star's potential, adding: "Fans from her X Factor days know her well, and the N-Dubz tour has introduced her to a younger generation, especially through platforms like TikTok. ITV is particularly excited about her new following among 16 to 24-year-olds, and hopes the deal is finalised soon."

Jeremy Clarkson

Meanwhile, Jeremy Clarkson, the maverick star known for his tenure on Top Gear and The Grand Tour, might just have a new adventure lined up after wrapping up the motor show. Lee Astley, spokesperson for betideas.com, suggested: "Following the final episode of The Grand Tour, people are wondering where Jeremy Clarkson will appear on our screens next, and a stint in the Jungle on I'm a Celebrity looks a likely destination."

Astley added, touting Clarkson's odds: "Clarkson has been on plenty of excursions through deserts and jungles, hence why he's as short as 3/1 to appear in the upcoming series of I'm a Celebrity later this year."

GK Barry

Grace Keeling, better known as GK, with her massive fan base on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, has recently taken a seat at the Loose Women table. The 25 year old influencer joined the popular ITV chat show earlier this year, adding to her already impressive portfolio which includes the successful podcast Saving Grace and a live tour sharing the same title.

Last year, GK also braved the heights in the thrilling Channel 4 reality series Don't Look Down.

Tommy Fury

Tommy Fury, the boxer and Love Island star, has been making headlines once again following his split from Molly Mae Hague this summer. Now, rumours are swirling that he might be heading to the jungle for I'm A Celebrity.

Ladbroke's spokesperson commented on the possibility, saying: "Reality TV chiefs will surely be queuing up to snap up Molly-Mae or Tommy following their shock split, and the odds suggest the latter could well be jungle-bound later this year."

Phillip Schofield

Phillip Schofield has been the subject of much speculation after his dramatic departure from This Morning and ITV last year, amidst revelations of an 'unwise but not illegal' affair with a younger staff member. Surprisingly, he made a television return last week on Channel 5's Castaway, where he was seen surviving alone on a deserted beach.

Despite some thinking this appearance could lead to a stint on I'm A Celebrity, those hopes have been dashed as Schofield has declared he'll 'never work with ITV again'.

Giovanni Pernice on Strictly Come Dancing

Giovanni Pernice

Italian dance sensation Giovanni, a staple on Strictly Come Dancing, finds himself amidst controversy as Amanda Abbington accuses him of bullying during the previous series, allegations he strongly refutes.

An ITV insider revealed: "As long as those at the top are satisfied that Giovanni isn't a bully and didn't behave inappropriately during Strictly, they will be signing him up. They are very aware of how much Strictly viewers will miss him, he's a true fans' favourite, so they hope he will draw in big audiences."

Since his debut on Strictly in 2015, Giovanni has been a finalist multiple times, ultimately winning the glitterball trophy with Rose Ayling-Ellis in 2021.

Alan Halsall

Coronation Street's beloved Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs, has previously been tipped for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, but an injury once dashed his chances. Now, Betting Lounge places him at odds of 1/2 to join the jungle adventure.

Alan's tenure on Corrie spans nearly three decades, starting in the late 90s, and he has been pivotal in several major plots, not least his character's harrowing ordeal with abusive ex-fiancee Kirsty.
