Countryfile: Adam speaks about the death of a dog
Fans of BBC's hit show Countryfile were left feeling rather confused during the latest episode, as oysters appeared to completely dominate the show.
The much-loved Sunday evening programme was back, with presenters Joe Crowley and Adam Henson in the driving seat. During the programme, Joe headed to Scotland to discover more about the famous Stranraer Oyster Festival.
Learning how fishermen catch oysters from the sea, Joe then went on to learn that 10,000 oysters were consumed by attendees over the weekend.
But given that most of the programme focused on oysters and not the usual countryside offering, some viewers were perplexed. Heading over to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, some viewers shared their thoughts and concerns.
One fan complained: "It's Oyster week on a show that's supposed to be about the countryside." (sic)

Another said: "After criticism over its Olympics coverage the BBC has gone all in on the Stranraer Oyster Festival."
A third penned: "I can't believe that the BBC managed to secure the TV rights for the Stranraer Oyster Festival."
One more added: "They're stretching this oyster story out a bit."
While other fans were also confused with the amount of oysters available during the weekend, with one questioning: "If that oyster festival is just over one weekend what happens to the town the rest of the year?"
Another echoed: "Hope the oyster festival is sustainable …ten thousand oysters consumed in one weekend?" (sic)

The news comes after presenter Adam recently revealed that it can be a "rollercoaster of emotions' for him and his family at this particular time of year for farming. The Gloucestershire native, who was born and raised on his family's farm, shared his thoughts on what's to come in Countryfile's magazine.
"There's something almost primaeval about the planting, growing and gathering of crops, even in the third decade of the 21st century," Adam candidly shared, while reflecting on this year's endeavours.
"If we miss a window of fine weather to get the combines out in the fields, it can be a devastating and costly mistake."
He also mentioned the close of summer, when months of nurturing crops culminate as "the most important, exhilarating, unpredictable, stressful and satisfying period of the entire farming year".
He added: "The combination of hope, jeopardy and sheer hard graft can make the summer months a rollercoaster of emotions."
