Strictly: Pete Wicks nearly trips Jowita up
Since waltzing onto our TV screens last month as a contestant in the 20th series of Strictly Come Dancing, Pete Wicks has quickly become a fan favourite. However, the reality TV star is now facing potential heartbreak ahead of this week's live performance.
Pete secured his highest score so far in the competition last weekend, racking up 26 points out of a possible 40 from the judging panel for his jungle-inspired samba during Movie Week. Yet, bookmakers are now placing him and his professional dance partner Jowita Przystal in the running for the exit this coming weekend.
Football legend Paul Merson and TV presenter Nick Knowles - if he's still in the competition after his injury - are favourites to slug it out in the dreaded dance-off. It would be the second week in a row for Paul who battled it out with Toyah Willcox last weekend - but Pete's position is anything but secure.
Ladbrokes' latest betting odds suggest that Paul is most likely to leave at 8/11, while DIY SOS presenter Nick has odds of 6/4. Meanwhile, despite once being tipped as a potential Glitterball champion, Pete faces odds of 5/1 against Sunday's elimination, with all remaining contestants floating at 14/1 or more.

Ladbrokes' spokesperson Alex Apati said: "The race for the Glitterball Trophy is well and truly on, but Paul Merson and Nick Knowles will do well to make it past Week Four, if the latest odds are anything to go by," reports Birmingham Live.
In the ever-twisting tale of Strictly stakes, former Love Island sensation Tasha Ghouri remains a hot ticket at 3/1 to win, but Ladbrokes have now pinpointed comedian Chris McCausland as the front-runner to snatch victory, with staggering odds of 10/11 in his favour.
The comedian, who is blind, and his dance partner Dianne Buswell, have been impressing both the judges and the audience with their outstanding performances.
Their jive to the Wayne's World theme last week received high praise, especially from the notoriously tough judge Craig Revel Horwood, who commented that the routine was "packed full of fantastic rhythm", earning them an impressive total score of 30 from the judges. Notably, Craig also told Chris: "You can dance."
Strictly Come Dancing is on BBC One on Saturdays and on BBC iPlayer
