Extreme slasher film Terrifier 3 has been causing quite a stir, with reports of walk-outs, vomiting, and even panic attacks at early screenings. Today (October 11), it makes its way into UK cinemas.
Dubbed as one of the year's most 'messed up' films, Terrifier 3 is poised to outperform the blockbuster Joker: Folie à Deux in the US box office during its debut weekend, despite a significantly lower production budget.
Picking up where Terrifier 2 left off, the film follows Sienna Shaw (Lauren LaVera) and her younger brother Jonathan (Elliott Fullam) as they grapple with the aftermath of their encounter with the otherworldly murderer Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton).
Known for its extreme violence, the latest instalment in the Terrifier series continues to push the envelope.
A particularly nauseating scene featuring a chainsaw attack in a shower block has already ignited conversations online, setting the tone for the movie's gruesome content from the get-go, reports the Mirror.

In an interview with The Mirror, Terrifier's mastermind Damien Leone shed some light on the films that scare him as his own creation haunts audiences.
"The Exorcist is absolutely terrifying. I still think that's the scariest movie ever made," he shared. "When I was younger, zombies freaked me out. That's still my favourite sub-genre."
The master of horror revealed: "There's a lot of movies, but over the years it's getting harder and harder to scare me because I know how the illusions are created, you know? I'm the guy behind the curtain at this point but I'm still so impressed with other people's films."
"The newest movie I saw in the horror genre was The Menu, a long time ago now, which I was obsessed with. It's one of my favourite recent horror movies, and Saltburn, that one was sick. But I'm very far behind, I haven't seen Longlegs. I want to see The Substance."
In thrilling news for fans, a fourth Terrifier film is officially on the horizon. Writer and director Leone confirmed the news even before the third film hit cinemas.
Although the script remains unwritten, Leone has teased that he has already conjured up 'a couple' of ideas for mind-blowing kills to outdo those in Terrifier 3.
