Strictly: Amy Dowden discusses her return to the show

Amy Dowden has issued a stern warning to her Strictly Come Dancing partner JB Gill as they kick-started a fresh week of training. The duo successfully made it to the fourth week of the popular BBC One dance competition after the show's annual Movie Week.

Saturday (October 5) marked a significant night for the BBC One dance contest as it hosted the first themed show of the series. The couples were seen channelling their inner film stars, performing routines inspired by a variety of blockbuster films.

Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec brought Barbie and Ken to life, while the beloved Professor Minerva McGonagall from Harry Potter was re-envisioned by Sarah Hadland in a tribute to Dame Maggie Smith, who sadly passed away last month.

During the show, viewers watched JLS star JB and Welsh dancer Amy perform the American Smooth to the tune of Pure Imagination from last year's Wonka movie, earning an impressive score of 32 out of a possible 40 points.

The results show confirmed that JB and Amy would be continuing into another week of the competition. On Monday (October 7), they shared their first update from training, reports the Manchester Evening News.

In a video uploaded to JB's Instagram Story, the singer and presenter announced: "We're back! " Amy then added: "We've done some hard work. We can't tell you the dance yet but we've done some hard work this morning and just done our interviews with the lovely VT team and then we're going straight back to it."

Both Amy and JB agreed that the previous week had been a "good" one. Amy queried: "We wanted to actually come on and say what? " to which JB responded; "Thank you sooo much. We honestly had so much fun. We're so grateful for you guys for voting for us, sending us through to this week. Week four... we're doing a very, very nice dance this week.."

However, Amy interjected to warn: "But it's going to be the most challenging dance yet for you," to which JB concurred: "It will be tough but it's all good. We like challenges."

Amy disclosed that Monday isn't JB's 'most favourite' day, prompting him to admit: "I'm still trying to learn the dance, then Tuesday we go in on technique and by Wednesday I'm like, 'This actually feels quite good!'"
