ITV's Tipping Point had viewers clinging to the edge of their seats when one daring contestant's gamble paid off spectacularly.
In the latest instalment of the popular ITV quiz show, host Ben Shephard welcomed a fresh batch of contestants eager to bag a hefty sum.
Among those playing for the top prize were Darren, a bomb broker from North London, Helen, a train guard from Worcester, and Jim, a retired Royal Mail manager.
The competition was fierce, but it was Darren who managed to reach the final round with £3,600 in his prize pot. Host Ben didn't waste any time in tempting Darren with a trade-off: his current winnings for a shot at the £10k jackpot, reports the Daily Star.
Ben laid out the stakes clearly: "I'm going to offer you a chance to leave today with £10k. As things stand you got £3,600 and you can walk away with the money right now and trade it for the counters to put into the machine."

He cautioned Darren that taking the trade and failing would mean leaving empty-handed. Yet, Darren, driven by the dream of whisking his wife away on a romantic honeymoon, decided to risk it all.
Darren declared his intention boldly: "I've always said that if I make it this far I would take the risk and go for the big money so I'm going to take the trade."
Darren's initial attempt on drop zone 4 seemed futile as he failed to knock down any counters, leading him to exclaim in frustration: "No you must be kidding me."
But the tables turned dramatically for Darren, and after a suspense-filled moment, his gamble paid off handsomely, netting him the £10k prize.
