Former Suits star Sarah Rafferty has spilled that Meghan Markle, her former co-star, is invited to grace their buzzworthy new podcast with her presence.
The 51 year old actress, shared screen space with the Duchess alongside Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman, and Gina Torres in the hit legal drama, running from 2011 to 2019.
In a daring move five years post the show's climax, Sarah along with Patrick unveiled 'Sidebar: A Suits Watch Podcast' which saw its electrifying debut on September 24, leaving fans ecstatic. Subsequent to the launch, Sarah divulged to Entertainment Weekly that Meghan is certainly amongst those welcome to drop by for a chat.
Given the prompt inquiring if an invite had been extended to the Duchess for the podcast, Sarah warmly avowed: "Everybody's invited, and everybody has been so supportive."
Her revelations did not stop there as she exclaimed: "It's amazing. I've just been texting one of our directors, Mike Smith, Rachael Harris had some comments on our Instagram Live this morning, cannot wait for Sheila Sazs to be introduced into the show. I can't wait to talk to Max Beesley and all the British actors that we had", reports the Daily Star.
These bombshells are dropped against the backdrop of the Duchess's absence at a cast reunion earlier this year. 'Suits' enjoyed a smashing success on Netflix's leaderboards in 2023, and whilst the cast reunited to celebrate at the Golden Globe Awards in January 2024, Markle's absence was distinctly felt.
Sarah's former on-screen flame Patrick later shockingly confessed to a complete communication blackout with the Duchess, while co-host Gabriel acknowledged only distant support for their project. Opening up to The Hollywood Reporter, Gabriel stated: "I have not communicated with her other than seeing her big support for the resurgence, and that has been really nice."
Patrick, however, had a more blunt admission: "Zero. No, no communication."
During the same interview, Sarah unveiled the origins of their trending podcast. She spoke of Patrick's pandemic-inspired idea to critique their nine-season show episode by episode.
Yet, it was the onset of Hollywood strikes that revved up their planning into high gear. With just two releases under its belt, the duo's podcast is already basking in five-star acclaim across platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
