BBC Breakfast viewers were not impressed as Jon Kay and Sally Nugent spoke to a group of Post Office scandal victims, including Alan Bates' wife Suzanne Bates.
The interview faced delays with the audio, for which Jon was forced to apologise, and viewers were left annoyed as the show moved on from the interview without speaking to all of the women, as they instead decided to ask Suzanne Bates about her abroad wedding to Sir Alan.
Jon issued an apology to one of the women as he accidentally interrupted her while she was telling her scandal story, as he explained there was a "delay on the line", which was why he spoke over her.
At the end of the chat, he and Sally said goodbye to the women as Sally said: "Janet, in fact all of you, thank you so much for speaking to us today. Jess, Tracy and Lisa, we didn't quite get to you but thank you so much for sharing your time with us. We hope today is a real moment of celebration for you. Best of luck."
Viewers rushed to social media to rage at the "embarrassing" interview. One fan raged: "You are able to speak to your reporter in Jerusalem perfectly easily, but the interview with 'post office ladies' was awful with delays and feedback. Felt for those ladies, they were only in London. Poor show BBC!"
Another added: "Honestly Jon Kay and Sally Nugent are so embarrassing on #bbcbreakfast they’re talking about the #postofficescandal and yet have to ask Suzanne Bates about her wedding…"
A third chipped in: "This is a tedious interview."
A fourth asked: "Couldn’t speak to all the ladies due to lack of time, perhaps should have left out the wedding chat?"

Suzanne and Alan Bates, who championed the fight against the Post Office after hundreds of workers were accused to stealing money after a new computer system failed to work, married earlier this year.
They flown to Richard Branson's private island, Necker island in the British Virgin Islands, for a stunning ceremony, as they had been together for 34 years but never married.
Bates told The Times: "It just seemed a good idea being on Necker and it being a wonderful place."
