Strictly elimination results leaked as fans left in uproar over result

Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left fuming once again, as the results of the latest elimination were leaked online ahead of the Sunday night show.

The spoiler, which was posted on a well-known website dedicated to sharing Strictly spoilers, revealed the name of the celebrity set to leave the competition before the result is officially announced on the pre-recorded results show.

This leak has caused a stir among fans, with many taking to social media to voice their frustration over the spoilers, as they feel it ruins the suspense of the Sunday night results show. While Express.co.uk has chosen not to reveal who was sent home, reactions to the leak have seen fans vociferously claim of the lost couple: "They didn't stand a chance!"

One insisted: "I would like to thank the British public for getting it right for once", while another appeared to celebrate as they announced: "So happy with that result, so glad they are gone." A third chimed in: "Absolutely the right result though they didn't stand a chance with that song choice did they." (sic)

Another argued: "Personally I would have preferred the other contestant to have been sent home, but it was definitely the correct bottom two." While some fans are choosing to avoid social media in the hours leading up to the Sunday results show, others are calling for stricter measures to prevent leaks.

One commenter lamented that coming across the information so early "spoils the suspense", and suggested that the weekly dance-off should be postponed to minimise the damage of leaks.

This latest incident is just one in a series of leaks that have plagued the BBC show over the years. Despite efforts to keep the results under wraps, the nature of the pre-recorded results show has made it difficult to stop spoilers from spreading across the internet.

Tom Dean was the first celebrity to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2024.

After landing in the bottom two, the Olympian faced off against singer and actress Toyah Willcox in Sunday's dance-off (September 29).

Tom and his professional partner, Nadiya Bychkova took to the dancefloor, performing their cha cha to Boogie Wonderland by Earth, Wind & Fire for a second time. Meanwhile, Toyah and her dance partner, Neil Jones reprised their jive to Nutbush City Limits by Ike & Tina Turner.

Following the dance-off, Anton Du Beke voted to save Tom and Nadiya, however, his fellow judges – Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas – voted to save Toyah and Neil.

In an emotional moment, Tom reflected on his Strictly journey. "I've had the best time the last few weeks and getting to work with Nadiya has been incredible," he said.

Toyah and Neil and Paul & Karen scored the lowest points with 15 and 19 respectively. Topping the leaderboard was Tasha and Aljaz with 34, and Sarah and Vito scoring 33 alongside Shayne and Nancy and Punam and Gorka.
