Strictly's Dr Punam Krishnan gets emotional after dance
Strictly Come Dancing witnessed a historic moment that added a dash of emotion to the evening.
The beloved BBC One programme made quite an impression this Saturday (October 5), rolling out its Movie Week special with the marvellous hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman inviting the celebrity dancers back onto the ballroom floor.
Last week, viewers said goodbye to Tom Dean and his dance partner Nadiya Bychkova, after a nail-biting dance-off against Toyah Wilcox and Neil Jones.
With the competition heating up, personalities such as JB Gill, Tasha Ghouri, and Shayne Ward returned to demonstrate their newly honed dancing skills.
However, it was Dr Punam Krishna who truly stole the spotlight by making Strictly history. Teaming up with Vito Coppola, they executed the series' first authentic Bollywood routine, dazzling the audience with their Couple's Choice to 'Bole Chudiyan' taken from the revered Bollywood hit 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...', reports the Mirror.
The judges were visibly moved, particularly Motsi Mabuse who shed tears despite her earlier resolve not to "cry." Overwhelmed by positive reviews, Punam couldn't hold back her emotions during her chat with Claudia.
Claudia questioned: "Tell me what it means?" prompting Punam to battle with her emotions.
She eventually shared, while Vito provided comfort and she was on the verge of tears: "I feel like I would have loved to have seen something like this when I was growing up. And I guess you just can't be what you can't see."
