GMB: Ellie Leach asked about atmosphere during Strictly launch show
Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Leach appeared on Monday's instalment of Good Morning Britain to give her thoughts on the launch show over the weekend.
ITV host Richard Madeley said: "We've got to ask you, what was the atmosphere like? At home, we were watching and thinking, 'Are they going to say anything about all the rumours, scandals and all the rest of it?' How did it feel backstage?"
Ellie, who appeared on the BBC show to reunite with her former dance partner Vito Coppola confessed she enjoyed her brief return to Strictly.
She replied: "I loved being there! I think when I'm in the studio, it just feels like home where I'm surrounded by people who I've been kind of, been in such close proximity within and built bonds that you don't get that outside-"
However, the GMB host cut her off as he was eager to know more about how it felt backstage.

Richard added: "Was the vibe different this year because of everything that's happened?"
Ellie replied: "I think the launch show is always amazing, it's always so much fun!
"To be asked to go back to dance a final time and to be on the ballroom floor one more time was amazing.
"Obviously, it was emotional the fact it was mine and Vito's last dance together! But yeah I think everyone was just so excited to get the new series going."
Ellie won the BBC competition last year with Vito after impressing the nation with her dance moves.
This year, he's been partnered with actress Sarah Hadland to compete for the Glitterball once again.
Speaking about the new partnership, Susanna Reid questioned whether or not Ellie is jealous as Sarah begins her journey.
She replied: "Honestly? No, I'm not. I support him in everything that he does and I'm so excited for him to have another series and to be able to be with Sarah.
"She seems like a lovely lady, they kind of bounce off of each other so I'm excited to see what they're going to do on the dancefloor."
