Nightsleeper: Joe Cole stars in trailer for BBC drama

Nightsleeper is speedily approaching its premiere so when does it start and how do you watch the upcoming drama?

Created by BAFTA-winning writer Nick Leather, who was also behind Mother’s Day and The Control Room, Nightsleeper is filled with "personal intrigue, political manoeuvring and danger".

After hopping onto a sleeper train that gets hacked, travelling from Glasgow to London, its passengers are doing everything that they can to save themselves before it’s too late.

How many episodes are in Nightsleeper? 

Nightsleeper is set to make its debut on Sunday, September 15, on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

The thriller will consist of six episodes in total with only the first instalment shown on BBC One on its initial release date.

Who is in the cast of Nightsleeper? 

Off-duty police officer Joe Roag who is on board the hijacked sleeper train is portrayed by actor Joe Cole.

He is best known for playing Luke in Skins, John Shelby in Peaky Blinders and Sean Wallace in Sky’s Gangs Of London.

Cole is joined by No Offence and Sanditon star Alexandra Roach who is behind cyber security boss Abby Aysgarth.

Some other stars of Nightsleeper include The Bay’s Sharon Small, Jack Ryan’s James Cosmo, The Devil’s Hour star Alex Ferns and Vigil actress Lois Chimimba.

How to watch Nightsleeper

The first episode of Nightsleeper is to air at 9pm on BBC One with the second coming out the following evening, Monday, September 16.

From then on, the remaining episodes will come out each Sunday and Monday nights for the next two weeks.

Alternatively, if fans are not keen on waiting this long to find out how it ends, Nightsleeper is to be made available as a box set on BBC iPlayer from its initial release date.

Nightsleeper premieres on Sunday, September 15, at 9pm on BBC One.
