Jenny Ryan gets emotional on Celebrity Escape to the Country
Jenny Ryan has updated fans on her property search following her appearance on BBC's Escape to the Country. Alongside her partner Thom Tuck, The Chase's Vixen featured in Celebrity Escape to the Country in 2023, where they shared their aspirations with host Jules Hudson to relocate "back home" to the countryside near Bolton.
Initially moving to London to chase her television dreams, Jenny found fame on The Chase and settled in the capital for work commitments. However, the couple fell in love with a charming Lancashire cottage showcased on the show, appreciating its woodland setting, convenient transport links, and proximity for filming The Chase.
Keen to involve her family, Jenny planned a second viewing with her parents to consider making an offer on the £695,000 property.
Despite their interest, as revealed in a repeat episode broadcast on BBC One on Friday (September 13), Jenny informed her Instagram followers that she did not secure the house. Before she could arrange a follow-up visit, another buyer snapped up the cottage.
Although disappointed, Jenny humorously noted "the search continues" for their perfect home.
Jenny Ryan opened up about her experience on Escape to the Country, revealing: "So my episode of Escape to the Country was on again this week, and so many people have been asking me, what happened next. I think it's quite clear, if you've watched the show that house number two was the one that I absolutely loved."
She continued with a hint of disappointment: "What I really wanted to do was to take my parents to have a viewing and see what they thought by the time we could arrange that, someone else had put an offer in on the place. I mean, it's a great place, so absolutely no wonder somebody snapped it up."
Remaining optimistic, she added: "Hope they're having a lovely time there. So for me, the search continues."
During the Escape to the Country episode, Jenny Ryan loved the property and its surroundings. She said: "I'm hearing the bird song now and I know my stepdad would be in his element here because he's a keen bird watcher. He's travelled the world looking at birds."
She added: "It's something that we've done as a family for quite a few years and it's part of that going back and enjoying nature.
"There's so much more potential for that, for sharing a new stage of life with this property, because it's got something for all of us and we can share it out more equally."
