JB Gill is the second star set to appear on Strictly 2024
JB Gill has confessed that the intense Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals are already having an impact on his body.
The 37 year old pop star and television presenter is set to grace the famous dance floor this Saturday (September 14) evening as the BBC competition returns with a fresh batch of celebrities hoping to waltz away with the glitterball trophy.
Speaking at the National Television Awards this week, JB shared his Strictly journey so far, stating: "It's going really well. The body is starting to hurt I'm not going to lie but I'm still smiling. I'm super excited and looking forward to what's to come."
As fans may recall, JB's JLS bandmate Aston Merrygold participated in the popular dancing show back in 2017, and was controversially eliminated in week seven, leaving fans stunned.
Discussing the advice he's received from Aston ahead of the launch show, he revealed: "I'm very used to singing and dancing with the boys but I don't have any of those. Aston said to just be myself.", reports the Mirror.

"He's very familiar with how I approach any task I'm doing, he knows I work hard and I think that goes a long way but he's just said be myself and enjoy the moment."
"If I manage to get all the way to the final then it goes very quickly so I'm just trying to soak up everything I can.
"I haven't got into everything just yet but I'm super excited and looking forward to the new challenge."

JB recently shared his thoughts on the competition with presenter Fleur East on Hits Radio. He said: "I genuinely believe there's some really talented dancers in the group. I know Sarah Hadland, I've worked with her before with the boys, and she's such a bundle of energy and I know she's got some hips and toes in there."
"Shayne (Ward) of course, he comes from a performing background as well. I know him very well from The X Factor and I know that he's definitely going to be good."
Tasha (Ghouri), she's danced, although it will be a different style of dancing, similarly to me. She's got that element of performance, she's definitely going to be one to watch.
"There's so many different people. Jamie (Borthwick) won the Christmas special last year. I know he's getting a bit of stick for that, but it doesn't necessarily mean anything else in terms of the longevity of the show, but he's definitely going to be one to watch as well."
