Dan Walker and Helen Skelton go wild swimming on their Pennine Adventure
Helen Skelton and Dan Walker explored Yorkshire’s natural beauty and sought out its hidden gems in Channel 5's Yorkshire Great and Small this evening. The television presenters teamed up as they donned their walking boots and they began their televised journey in Malham.
The informative TV programme showcased them exploring the natural wonder of Malham Cove - a limestone formation carved out during the last Ice Age. They also visited the beautiful Ribblehead Viaduct.
But as they both went on their merry way through some stunning scenes, Dan let slip a word of warning that his wife, Sarah Walker, had issued when she found out he was filming the show.
Explaining to Helen, Dan said: "My wife told me I am not allowed to do a Yorkshire accent on this series." Helen cackled with laughter as Dan continued: "That's the one thing she said, 'you must not do a Yorkshire accent."
He gave his co-star strict instructions, adding: "If you hear me slip into it you've just... you've got to stop me." Helen replied: "I can picture Sarah's face saying that to you as well." Dan added: "Yeah, quite formidable."

Former BBC Breakfast star Dan shared the secret to their on-screen chemistry and what they like to do when they go out walking together.
He said that he and Helen, who is best known for her presenting roles on Countryfile and Blue Peter, are quite "similar".
In an interview with TV Times, Dan said: "We're similar and we care about each other. But we laugh at each other, too, and, on our walks, we ask silly questions and list things like our top 10 Helens, from Helen Hunt to Helen of Troy. Helen Skelton was No 7!"

Helen said: "I didn't even make the top five! We've been fitting this around our other commitments like Dan's Classic FM show and my time on (BBC1's) Morning Live, so we've had little sleep, but we've never had a bad word."
She continued: "Dan is the clever one and knows all the historical references and sings a lot, but we both bring morale, jokes and banter."
Dan has been married to Sarah since 2001. The couple met at Sheffield University and they have three children - two daughters and a son.
