ITV The Voice viewers label series a 'fix' as contestant's details emerge

The Voice UK made it's highly-anticipated return to ITV1 on Saturday night, bringing a brand new batch of contestants ready to sing their hearts out in the hope of going all the way and winning the show.

One of the contestants who took to the stage was West End star Zalika Henry, who previously performed as part of the cast of The Lion King.

She performed the song Daylight for the coaches and blew them all way as all four coaches turned around for the talented singer.

After having to make an impossible decision, Zalika decided to be a part of Sir Tom Jones' team as she hugged the singing legend before departing the stage.

However, viewers at home claimed the show is a "fix" and said it was unfair that an already established act with experience was getting through.

One annoyed viewer fumed: "Aww this is all fixed #TheVoiceUK," alongside an angry emoji.

Somebody else agreed as they commented: "What a fix! #TheVoiceUK."

Another person expressed: "What happened to the average person going on the show to see if they were any good? Far too many singers already partly in the business. #TheVoiceUK."

While yet another quipped: "#TheVoiceUK i just wish professional singers werent able to join The Voice, takes away the rawness of someone trying to make it in the music game."

However, not everyone felt the same way as one ITV viewer gushed: "#TheVoiceUk I love zalika Henry the fact she is a west end singer makes me so happy I love her! And she is singing harry styles!"

Sir Tom Jones and Will.I.Am are the only two coaches who have been on the show since it started back in 2012.

They're joined by The Voice Kids coach Danny Jones and his McFly bandmate Tom Fletcher as well as US singer LeAnn Rimes who has previously been a part of the Australian version.

The Voice UK continues next Saturday at 8:15pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
