Strictly Come Dancing star's four-word warning to pros

Love Island sensation Tasha Ghouri has reportedly turned heads among the male dancers on Strictly Come Dancing, eager to couple up with her for the upcoming series.

In early March, the 26-year old icon was revealed as the latest star ready to hit the dance floor in September. As a trailblazer, Ghouri soared to fame not only as Love Island's inaugural deaf participant in 2022 but also as part of the love-struck pair that clinched fourth place alongside Andrew Le Page on the ITV show.

Poised to tap into a wellspring of talent, Tasha is bringing her substantial dancing prowess to the Strictly stage. Her sterling moves have not only marked her as a frontrunner but has also made her the professional male dancers' top choice for a partner.

An insider conveyed to the Sun, "She has all the qualities to win the competition, making her the top pick among the male pros,".

Despite the excitement surrounding her participation, the show hasn't been free from criticism, with accusations swirling about potential biases towards contestants with dance experience.

In the face of such criticism, Tasha took to her social platforms to address concerns, conceding that despite her background, dancing hasn't featured in her life recently, reports the Mirror.

She faces the steep slope of adjusting to the unique demands of Strictly's choreography.

She penned: "I've not danced for quite a few years, since Love Island my career is so different It's such a different dance style, I may actually not be good at it, like ballet - I'm not good at ballet.

"I'm trained in commercial street style it's going to be very hard but I'm excited for a challenge."

She previously exclaimed her excitement about joining the cast, saying: "Pinch me, I can't believe I'm going to be on Strictly Come Dancing.

"I've been watching the show since I was little it's a firm Ghouri family favourite - so this is a total dream come true."

Tashas remarks followed the BBC's announcement of a significant revamp to the format of Strictly Come Dancing as it enters its 20th series, bringing live signing into the mix.

It was during the Edinburgh TV Festival where the broadcaster confirmed that former Strictly champ and the programme's first deaf participant, Rose Ayling-Ellis, will front a documentary coinciding with the new feature.

The inclusion of live signing alongside audio description and subtitling aims to create a more inclusive experience for viewers when the beloved dancing competition makes its long-awaited comeback later this year.

Strictly Come Dancing is set to air in September on BBC One.
