Following the announcement that Suits actor Patrick J. Adams will join Hollywood A-lister Michelle Pfeiffer on-screen for a new Yellowstone spin-off, we have now learned more about his role in the show. The news comes as further casting decisions have been announced for the Paramount series, The Madison.
Yesterday, Paramount announced that Adams, who is best known for playing Mike Ross in the 2010 legal drama that has made a huge splash on Netflix, has officially boarded the cast of the latest Taylor Sheridan series.
We have since learned Adam will play a character called Russell McIntosh, a young investment banker who “has followed the life path set before him from the start”. It comes after Pfeiffer was announced to be joining the project as both the star and executive producer.
The cast also now includes Elle Chapman (A Man Called Otto), Beau Garrett (Firefly Lane) and Amiah Miller (My Best Friend's Exorcism). Adams will star opposite Chapman, who will portray Paige McIntosh.
The character is described as a "somewhat self-centred woman who indulges in a luxurious New York lifestyle provided by her parents and investment banker husband”. Meanwhile, Garrett will be taking on the part of Abigail Reese, who is a “resilient and sardonic New Yorker, who is a recently divorced mother of two. Miller will play her eldest daughter, Bridgette.

The spin-off show, which has been described as "a heartfelt study of grief and human connection", sees a New York City family relocate to Montana’s Madison River Valley.
The major difference between The Madison and Yellowstone is that it will be the first series to take place in the present day, as previous seasons have been set in 1883 and 1923.
Yellowstone is a hugely popular drama from the minds of Sons of Anarchy's Taylor Sheridan and John Linson.
The Montana-based series launched back in 2018, where viewers were introduced to the Dutton family for the first time.
The drama sees the Duttons continually fighting off various enemies in an attempt to preserve their land and has previously been described as “Succession meets Dallas”.
Yellowstone returns on Sunday, November 10 on the Paramount Network. Fans can catch up with previous seasons on Paramount Plus.
