Sunday Brunch guest walks out of Channel 4 show early as hosts ask: 'Are you bored?'

A Sunday Brunch ended up leaving the Channel 4 show early - much to the hosts' shock.

The hit daytime series was back on TV screens on Sunday (August 18) for another morning of food, laughter and music. Joining hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer were Vicky Pattinson, Jordan Stephens, Kerry Ellis and Pete Tong.

Meanwhile, musician Frank Turner also performed, and telly chef Tom Kerridge cooked up a feast in the kitchen. However, things took an awkward turn when it was revealed Tom was leaving the show early.

Once Tom cooked up a delicious-looking burger in the kitchen, co-host Simon quizzed the award-winning chef. He told him: "You're going now, aren't you?"

He continued: "You’re not staying for the show?” Tom then replied: “I’m off!'

When asked why, Tom, who has appeared on Sunday Brunch several times, replied: “That’s what time I was told I was going!” as his fellow guests laughed.

He continued: “12 shows in and I come up here, I do what I’m told then I go.” Tim then chimed in and asked: “Maybe you got bored of coming." This caused Tom to laugh.

It comes after the Channel 4 show was halted during last week's episode after a guest swore live on air.

Former Pop Idol winner Young was recounting an awkward moment at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival when he let a bad word slip. He was telling the story of how a comedian at Edinburgh Fringe had 'stopped' her show after she found him sitting in the front row.

He told viewers: "The bulk of her show was about me, and obviously probably not very nice about me, and I was in the front row.

"She said 'I don't know what to do because my show's sort of taking the p*** out of Will Young and Will Young's sitting at the front."

Host Tim was then made to pause the show, jumping in to issue an apology to viewers. He said: "I must apologise for using that word."

Sunday Brunch airs every Sunday at 9:30am on Channel 4.
