Richard Osman has delighted fans with a new update on the film adaptation of his bestselling mystery, The Thursday Murder Club.
Admirers were over the moon to catch a glimpse of iconic filmmaker Steven Spielberg on set with Richard and the crew in a picture for the highly-anticipated Netflix adaptation.
Posting on his Twitter account, now simply known as X, the author shared the gleeful photo with his legion of 1.2 million followers.
The photo features Richard posing alongside none other than Steven Spielberg, together with stellar cast members such as Pierce Brosnan of James Bond fame, Helen Mirren from The Queen and Celia Imrie known for Calendar Girls.
The ensemble appears gathered on what looks to be a church's scenic grounds adjacent to a cemetery, possibly hinting at one of the film's shoot sites, reports the Mirror.

Netflix, in promoting the snap, said: "Nothing to see here... just @richardosman, actual Steven Spielberg, and a few of their friends on the set of The Thursday Murder Club."
This comes on the heels of Richard sharing a previous image showing him with the legendary director in front of what may be the same church, humorously adding the caption: "On the set of #TheThursdayMurderClub Steven Spielberg meets a competition winner."
However, it is the renowned Chris Columbus who actually helms The Thursday Murder Club, a man behind such classics as Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Home Alone and Mrs Doubtfire.
Steven Spielberg's presence on set isn't simply a celebrity visit; his production powerhouse, Amblin Entertainment, is the force behind turning Richard Osman's hit murder mystery novel into a cinematic feature.
The social media buzz was palpable as Richard Osman posted an update about the film, leading to a wave of ecstatic fan reactions.
