Loose Women send best wishes to Gloria Hunniford

Former Coronation Street favourite Helen Flanagan was visibly emotional on ITV's Loose Women as she opened up about her personal struggles and the end of her relationship with footballer Scott Sinclair.

The 34 year old actress, who first graced the cobbles at just nine years old, joined Kaye Adams and fellow Corrie alumni Sally Dynevor, Sue Cleaver, and Denise Welch to reminisce about her time on the show. Despite initially discussing her early acting days, conversation quickly shifted to her recent split from Scott, leaving Helen fighting back tears as she delved into the painful subject.

As the panel probed into her private life, Helen became increasingly distressed while recounting how media coverage of her relationship had impacted her. Denise Welch touched upon mental health issues, saying, "I just know that you really struggled- could you just take us through because you had a breakdown, a real psychotic breakdown."

An emotional Helen responded, "Gosh, I didn't think I would get so emotional today!"

She went on to explain that the sensational headlines often acted as triggers for her. Helen revealed that her decision to speak publicly about her challenges was partly due to her commitment to a six-month theatre tour, which made addressing her personal situation feel unavoidable, reports the Mirror.

The mother of three also shared with the Loose Women panel her belief that she and Scott would be together indefinitely.

Helen, set to star in the upcoming series of Celebs Go Dating, opened up about her past relationship with Scott in a candid interview with Manchester Evening News. She reminisced: "I was with my ex Scott since I was 19 and he was like my world. I always thought we were going to be together, always."

Helen also mused on her former partner's potential future relationships, saying: "I bet he'll be a better boyfriend to the next girl after me. I was perfect!"

Reflecting on the single life, she added: "The one thing I miss about being with my ex is not being able to leave every morning to go to the gym or out for a run. I live in the middle of nowhere and could go for nice runs or bike rides, and that's what I really miss. Those little things."
