Four in a Bed: Husband told to 'get his act together'

Temperatures were at an all-time high during the latest instlament of Four in a Bed after a wife gave a stern warning to her other half.

The hit Channel 4 show, which sees four bed and breakfast owners go head to head to see which establishment is the best, was back for another episode on Saturday afternoon (August 10). After a tense week, it was time for the B&B owners to discover whether they had done enough to be crowned the winners.

But as the results came in, tensions were running high. The last couple to find out how well they did on the competitive show was married couple Bridie and James.

Unlike the other three B&B owners in the competition, James and Bridie's Dulrush Fishing Lodge in County Fermanagh proved to be a success. Their guests seemed to be impressed with their rooms and the services on offer.

The Dulrush Fishing Lodge offered guests a hot tub at an additional cost and seemed to provide a comfortable sleep for their guests. But one guest appeared to find a fault with her room.

B&B owner and rival Bridie had one complaint and underpaid the owners by £5 for her £120 per night room. Sharing the reason for the underpayment, Bridie revealed that it was due to the fact that her bathroom shower was fairly leaky, leading to water spilling over onto the bathroom floor.

After hearing the complaint, wife Bridie turned to her husband James and gave him a good old telling off. Snapping at him, she informed James that he had a lot of work to do when they returned home,

Wife Bridie said: "Now, you have to get your act together when we get back home and get those things seen to.

James later expressed: "When I get home I think I might be in the doghouse for about three days!" But despite the small criticism, Bridie's underpayment didn't hinder the couple's success.

With the other business owners agreeing that the Dulrush Fishing Lodge was certainly value for money, the pair went on to win the show. After watching the show, fans headed over to X to share their love for the series.

One fan wrote: "Catching up….love this programme. #fourinabed more so when they don’t get on."

While another added: "After binging Four in a Bed for a few days I feel suitably trained and have expertise in running a B&B."

Four in the Bed is available to watch on Channel4.com.
