ITV Lorraine show halted as Christine Lampard called out over backstage 'snub'

Christine Lampard swiftly sought to rectify an awkward moment after her co-presenter on Lorraine felt ignored.

The bubbly, evergreen Andi Peters, 54, interjected during the broadcast to joke with the stand-in host about her missing his greeting behind the scenes after Wednesday's show on 7 August.

Broadcasting from Surrey via video link, the competition host delayed the programme to highlight Christine's absence, remarking: "Christine, by the way, I came by to see you yesterday, to say hello but you weren't in your dressing room."

He went on to say: "I don't know where you were but I was going to say hello to you before seeing you on the telly, but we're on the telly now anyway."

Cutting in, a slightly embarrassed Christine replied warmly: "Awww well thank you, let's say hello now instead.", reports the Mirror.

Andi, eager to show all is well between them, responded cheerfully: "You're welcome, you're welcome," and shared a laugh over their coincidental attire, claiming they were "twinning" wearing blue.

Meanwhile, football icon Frank Lampard's wife is filling in on the ITV show for Scottish presenter Lorraine Kelly, who is enjoying her summer hiatus and keepin viewers updated on her grandmotherly anticipation.

Revealing her daughter Rosies is nearing towards her due date with excitement, saying "not long now".

Lorraine herself is gearing up for the joys of becoming a first-time grandmother and is unmistakably thrilled at the prospect of welcoming Rosie's baby.
