Sunday Brunch star discusses painful incident
Sunday Brunch's Portia Freeman couldn't conceal her recent injury from hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer as she made a return to the show.
The presenting duo introduced the At Home Cocktail Queen to whip up some delicious concoctions for their star-studded guests, which included Love Island alum Olivia Attwood, A Place In The Sun presenter Scarlette Douglas with her brother Stuart, comedian Milton Jones, and musician Nitin Sawhney.
Stepping into the spotlight, Portia was unable to hide a painful mishap that led to a hospital visit. Simon, taken aback, inquired: "You've suffered an injury recently, what happened?"
Portia recounted her misfortune, saying: "I fell over on the school run and fractured my elbow, but it's still quite fresh."
She continued, discussing her recovery: "They don't plaster anymore, they say movement fixes it more quickly so it feels like it's cracking, so sorry guys", reports the Mirror.
Despite the setback, Portia wowed everyone with her cocktail expertise, presenting a refreshing summer treat - a frozen gin and tonic - which was eagerly enjoyed by everyone on set.
In a previous appearance earlier this year, the mixologist had a blush-worthy moment on Tim and Simon's programme when she inadvertently complimented singer Lemar on his "quite zesty rim" while he lauded her cucumber margarita.
Lemar, full of compliments, expressed how much he liked it, prompting Portia to reply: "You've got quite a zesty rim as well."
Realising her gaffe as the studio erupted in laughter, Ruth Langsford was visibly embarrassed and tried to steer the conversation elsewhere, but the laughter persisted. Portia could only bury her face in her hands amidst the hilarity.
Tim intervened, trying to restore order by insisting: "Everyone stop it."
However, Love Island star Wes Nelson was unable to hold back his chuckles, and Celebs Go Dating's Paul Carrick Brunson remarked to the hosts: "You're gonna have to control him."
