BBC One commentator JJ Chambers was almost left speechless by Simon Biles' incredible performance on the balance beam on Sunday morning during the 2024 Paris Olympics gymnastics qualifier.
After watching the 4 feet 8-inch American powerhouse own the beam and execute an impressive array of flips, splits and a stellar dismount, the BBC star issued a four-word response to viewers.
The Invictus Games medallist shared with his co-star, former Olympian, Jeanette Kwakye: "She's the ultimate athlete."
As Simone was sitting in her crystal-embellished leotard nervously waiting for her first score of the day, she soon discovered her "huge" mark of 14.733 and started beaming.
JJ exclaimed: "It's the highest beam score that we have seen today and those scores are just going to keep on coming because Simone Biles is back where she belongs."
Former sprinter Jeanette warned JJ to "catch your breath" as he was grinning from ear to ear over Simone's comeback success.
After taking a breath he said: "There are three more pieces of apparatus for Simone to compete in but we are going to switch that to Olympics Extra which is over on BBC iPlayer right now."
